McMillans Opening reception
This Thursday night was a big opening fiesta at CLU: first we had a very successful opening reception at the Kwan Fong gallery celebrating the work of Murray and Megan McMillan, who have been resident artists at the University for a couple of weeks. A very nice crowd showed up for the lecture, then we enjoyed food and drinks in the gallery where we were able to watch the video and take a lamp each from the piece itself.
Many of us walked over to the second event of the evening, the Art Students SOLO shows. It was entertaining to see a line of people carrying their lamps across campus to join a happy crowd at this reception. The students did a great job putting their show together, displaying prints, sculptures, paintings, photos and all sorts of art work in a dazzling array of their talents! A very successful event!
