Dave Caruso writes about an ‘ethical will’ in this post in the “All Things Financial Planning” blog.  What is an ethical will?  Funnily enough Caruso admits that he was confused by the term when he first heard it too.  It is not a legal document or legal will; rather it is about writing down what principles and values are important to you and sharing them with your loved ones.  It is also a chance to let your loved ones know the positive qualities that you see and appreciate in them.  Once over the name, the idea of an ‘ethical will’ actually sounds quite nice and caring.
