The School of Management’s First Annual Business Concept Competition provided a platform for undergraduate and graduate students to pitch new business concepts.
Cal Lutheran hosted the 2nd Annual Central Coast Start-Up Community Summit on June 6, 2014. Attendees included entrepreneurs, investors, and community leaders who share the goal of making the 101 Corridor the next hot bed for entrepreneurs.
On May 1, 2014, the School of Management kicked off a fundraising effort for a newly formed Seed Fund. This private event was hosted by entrepreneur Bill Dallas and his wife, Beverly, and was co-sponsored by Dean’s Executive Council member Kevin Manion.
Three years ago, the School of Management started a hybrid variation of its MBA program in Austria. The program has been growing in popularity, and now has cohorts of 20 students each in the Austrian cities of Graz and Vienna.
The inaugural “Dinner with the Dean” was held April 5, 2014 at the home of School of Management Advisory Council member Wayne Davey and his wife, Barbara.
MBA student Cristina Markiewicz is a perfect example of CLU student commitment to making a difference. Like many graduate students, Markiewicz has successfully balanced a career and college responsibilities. But Markiewicz is also a volunteer.
