CLU Food Garden Underway!

Filed under: Uncategorized — sthomas @ 3:54 pm

The CLU Food Garden has been in the plans for a little while, and recently a group of students, faculty, and staff has begun making the plans a reality. The site has been selected, the soil has been prepared, and a fence has been put up (sorry deer, squirrels, coyotes, and rabbits: this food is for people). Stay tuned for future developments!

In the meantime if you want to get involved with the Garden, contact Kayla Kilpatrick at clugrowinggreen@callutheran.edu.

Welcome!

Sustainability is difficult to define. It includes everything – which means that it often ends up sounding like nothing. But it’s not just a buzzword (though it’s also a buzzword). The new CLU Sustainability website is about what we here at CLU mean by sustainability – how we imagine a more sustainable campus, community, and world, and how we enact our ideas in everyday life.

This blog is dedicated to publicizing an array of perspectives on sustainability from around the campus. We hope you’ll read it, check back often, and send in your own contributions.

Welcome!
