Sculptures by John Storojev
On View September 28 – October 22, 2006 Opening Reception: September 28 at 7 p.m Asian-born, Russian-raised and U.S.-educated Storojev creates sculptural pieces that present a wide and intimate familiarity with different media as diverse and eclectic as his background. Side by side with stone figures are sculptures fashioned in metal, some of them in the form of majestic copper fountains which emit quieting sounds and billows of mysterious water vapor illuminated by colored lights. Bronze figures, busts in terra cotta and a large rust-colored metal “bug” round out some of the interesting sculptures created by this CLU sculpture instructor. Read More
Senior Art Exhibit 2006
On View April 22 – May 13, 2006 Participating in the exhibit are Samantha Fried of Agoura Hills, Ashley Gibb of Thousand Oaks, Malia Kim of Simi Valley, Brian Lafferty of Thousand Oaks, Daniel Soho of Redding, Mark Tevis of Thousand Oaks, Grant Toland of Newbury Park, Katy Wilson of Monument, Colo., Valerie Vichules of Tempe, Ariz., Jennifer Tengan of Kahului, Hawaii, and Kunimasa Kitazawa of Tokyo, Japan. The display will feature drawings, sculpture, ceramics, paintings, photography, computer–generated artworks, printmaking, installation and mixed media. Admission is free. CLUFest 2006
On View April 1 – April 13, 2006 CLUFEST 2006 will display an exciting selection of media artwork created by CLU students during their college careers. Categories include animation, graphic arts, digital cinema, experimental media and interactive design. The third annual Design Journal Show will display CLU multimedia students’ daily design journals chronicling their discovered moments and points in time that are amusing, sad, funny, inspirational and thought provoking. From these unique experiences, the students have created pages filled with images and words that portray their individual perspectives on life. Read More
