On view March 3 – March 24, 2006
The Distillery Collective is an artists’ collective for experimental work based on new interpretations of traditional media.
Robert Yeager’s manipulated emulsions are created without the usual exposure of film to light, while Masami Tsuchikawa’s installations are arrangements of tiny porcelain pieces that appear to grow like bacteria from a focal vortex. Gary palmer’s paintings are distilled versions of traditional modes such as figure, portrait and landscape isolating elements such as brushstroke, symbolic form, and color fields.
Admission is free. Sponsored by the Art Deparment and curated by Michael Pearce. For information please call (805) 493- 3316 or visit www.thedistilleryla.com
